    Job Summary

    The Working Foreman will coordinate, coach and monitor the performance of employees. This position will also observe the receiving, storage, production and services of safety and maintain security of the department. Ensures sufficient amount of clear aseptic linen are provided to all linen usage areas on a daily basis.

     

    Core Job Responsibilities

     

    + Supervises and coordinates all activities of Laundry staff on a daily basis.

    + Ensures that adequate linen requirements are set, monitored, and adjusted.

    + Assists in the daily functions and tasks of the Laundry to ensure smooth operation of the service.

    + Updates schedule with employee call-ins, personal leave, etc. using established protocols.

    + May provide input into performance reviews and hiring decisions.

    + Keeps leadership informed of any issues, concerns and progress towards goals.

    + Complies with departmental and organizational policies or requirements and ensures staff do the same.

    + Performs related duties as assigned.

     

    Education/Experience Requirements

    REQUIRED:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and motivate others.

    + Able to work under varied pressure loads.

    + Must be able to work well with others and be able to meet deadlines.

    + Must possess good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

    PREFERRED:

    + Previous linen or laundry services experience.

     

    Licensure/Certification Requirements
