Offer Based on Years of Experience What You Need to Know The Senior HIPAA Privacy & Compliance Analyst will assist with the enhancement and maintenance of the HIPAA Compliance program by collaborating with stakeholders to assess policies, design training, conduct investigations and perform related analytics. The Analyst will also assist in the design, preparation, and presentation of reports to leadership as well as preparation of reports and metrics for the Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors. He/she will establish and maintain key relationships with operational leadership and staff to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and consistent messaging across all lines of business. As a member of the AccentCare Compliance Department, the Analyst will also participate in a variety of compliance projects and initiatives. Assists the AccentCare Privacy Officer with administration of the organization’s HIPAA Privacy Program including the Privacy Officer Designee Program. Serves as a HIPAA subject matter expert and resource for the Compliance Department and Privacy Officer Designees. Partners with the CISO and IT Security team as appropriate. Partners with the Privacy Officer to regularly review, update and enhance AccentCare’s privacy programs. Coordinates with Privacy Officer Designees at AccentCare facilities to review and investigate reported disclosures of protected information. Documents all investigations in accordance with department standards. Develops and oversees appropriate corrective action, as needed. Develops and delivers data privacy training for a variety of audiences. Partners across learning organizations to ensure privacy training has maximum impact and value. Conducts compliance investigations, assessments, and reviews, as assigned. Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements. Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures including, but not limited to the Compliance Program: Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and Documentation Standards. If you meet these qualifications, we want to meet you! Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare environment, including experience conducting investigations and HIPAA assessments. Demonstrated experience in compliance, internal audit, or related field Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Health Management, or other related field. HIM or privacy certification preferred Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations Able to apply highly proficient and specialized skills to adapt and meet some complex or non-routine situations Strong project/process management skills Experience developing and delivering training across multiple channels Ability to create complex documents, spreadsheet analysis models, and advanced graphics Excellent ability to draft, edit, and proofread internal and external correspondence Strong analytic and organizational skills - ensure files are organized, manage electronic schedule as appropriate Advanced written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment with competing priorities Excellent interpersonal/listening skills Proficient in interacting with and creating a collaborative working environment amongst stakeholders at all levels of the organization Possess a responsible, detail-oriented, results-driven work ethic Come As You Are At AccentCare, our care is most compassionate when we empathize and engage with everyone, and we are at our best when we value diverse perspectives, foster open dialogue, and enact change.
