Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Nightwing is seeking a Senior Health Monitoring and Event Management Admin to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain Health Monitoring/Visibility/Observability systems for Networks, Systems, and Applications

+ Collaborate with system and application owners to develop monitoring configurations, alert/event/report configurations

+ Develop and maintain Event Management systems and integrations to support Incident and Problem processes, Dashboards, and Reporting

+ Administer virtual and cloud-based systems to support Health Monitoring applications to include system patching, application patching, credential and certificate management, user access/account management, network access via port open requests (firewall rules)

+ Administer Discovery and Configuration Management systems to support Event Management and Configuration Management

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to monitoring and provide assistance for root cause analysis and improvement of rules, policies, configurations, etc. to reduce false positives and improve system and application availability

Required Skills:

• U.S. Citizenship

+ Active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

+ Must be able to obtain DHS suitability

+ Must be able to work in a hybrid environment

+ 6+ years of directly relevant experience

+ Hands-on administration experience with Windows and Linux in a production virtual and cloud-based environment

+ Installation/upgrade, configuration, troubleshooting, policy development experience with ServiceNow Agent Client Collector

+ Configuration experience with ServiceNow Event Management rules, dashboards, and reports

+ Administration and troubleshooting of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB to support Event Management

+ Administration and configuration of AWS CloudWatch

+ Administration of OpenText NNMi (Network Node Manager i)

+ Administration of Nagios Core

+ Hands-on experience monitoring systems, networks, and applications using agent-based and agentless tools

+ Experience with creating regular expressions, log file parsing, and event log parsing to support monitoring

+ Strong attention to detail, integrity, and out of the box thinking with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure to deliver on tight delivery schedules

Desired Skills:

+ Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations with AWS CloudWatch

+ Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery in AWS environments

+ Understanding and application of ITIL Incident, Problem, Request, Knowledge, Change, Config Processes

+ Familiarity/ability to learn ScienceLogic SL1, AppDynamics APM, and ThousandEyes **Required Education:** BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.
