The agency administers ten retirement plans and is dedicated to customer service, member education, and operational efficiency. *What is this career opportunity?* We are seeking an individual with attention to detail and a strong work ethic to join our Data Processing Team in our Education and Communication Bureau. The typical duties of this position include: · Review documents, forms, and data to ensure it is accurate, complete, and valid. · Enter data into MPERA’s internal database in a timely manner. · Review and approve data to ensure accuracy. · Request further information as needed to enter data. · Communicate in writing to request further information as needed. * * *COMPETENCIES: * * Knowledge of office management, procedures and administrative practices;** * Must be proficient in the use of word processing, excel, and have experience in the operation of personal computers and databases; * Ability to communicate effectively with correct spelling and grammar; * * * Maintain high attention to detail; * Ability to learna variety of state retirement rules, regulations, and policies as they relate to accurate processing of data. ** *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* The above knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a High School diploma or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of experience with computer software, clerical work, or bookkeeping.
