Description

This role will be responsible for transforming operational data into actionable insights to help optimize customer onboarding, application processing, and servicing efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong data acumen, an understanding of lending operations, and a passion for driving process improvements through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain performance dashboards and operational reports across loan acquisition (e.g., application funnel, funding rates) and servicing (e.g., call volumes, payment behaviors, delinquencies).

+ Analyze trends and KPIs to identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across the client's lifecycle.

+ Partner with business operations, servicing, credit risk, and product teams to provide insights that inform decisions on staffing, process reengineering, and digital servicing strategies.

+ Support test-and-learn initiatives and operational experiments by monitoring impact metrics and producing timely reporting.

+ Ensure data accuracy and consistency across operational reports through quality assurance and reconciliation with source systems.

+ Translate complex data sets into executive-ready summaries and visualizations to support business reviews and strategy sessions.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analytics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.

+ 5-8 years of experience in operational analytics, reporting, or performance analysis within lending, banking, or financial services.

+ Hands-on experience working with large datasets and executing complex queries in SQL, as well as proficiency in Python.

+ Strong understanding of the loan acquisition lifecycle (application, verification, decisioning, funding) and servicing operations (customer support, payments, collections).

+ Ability to synthesize large data sets into concise insights that drive action.

+ Understanding of cloud data infrastructure (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) is a plus.

Remote candidates will be considered, but client prefers candidates local to the Chicago area who are open to a hybrid working situation.
