Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee essential financial activities such as managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining the general ledger. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise while growing within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect all financial activities.

• Perform data entry tasks to record financial information and transactions.

• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Prepare and assist with month-end closing procedures.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring accuracy.

• Generate financial reports to support decision-making and audits.

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

• Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
