Job Description Summary
The Instrumentation Lead Engineer has technical ownership and responsibility for gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, and balance of plant accessory systems wiring/interfaces and/or hardware for the Instrumentation and Controls team within Plant Systems and Steam Cycle Plant System Design (PSSC PSD) Engineering. The Lead Engineer will ensure execution excellence with analysis, design studies, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and customer technical issue resolution for instrumentation and electrical systems. This position enables growth in technical breadth, strengthening of project management skills, and exposure to coaching and mentoring from other engineers.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Has proven design experience of instrumented systems (Pressure, temperature, flow, level, valve actuation and positions…).
+ Will deliver instrumentation Bill of Material and drawings for hardware (thermocouples, pressure transmitters panels, tubing, conduit and cable tray arrangement….) for Gas Turbines and Steam Turbines
+ Will create review and release wiring diagrams for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbines and their associated accessories/skids as well as for Balance of Plant
+ Will manage instrument lists and signal lists in the project digital database
+ Strong electrical and instrumentation technical knowledge and ability to perform engineering design for new product programs, new projects, and support of fleet issue resolution
+ Drive a culture of one Gas Power team by partnering with adjacent organizations/stakeholders
+ Enhance team culture by facilitating a safe, inclusive, and inspirational workplace
+ Deliver operational commitments and key process indicator targets
+ Improve quality, delivery, and cost of GE products within team’s scope
+ Implement lean methodologies including standard work, standard product, and kaizen
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science/Technology in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) Or a High School Diploma/ GED with 5 years of relevant experience
+ 3 years of instrumentation experience

+ Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. **Note:** **Role open to GE GAS - PSSC Engineering organization**
_The base pay range for this position is 88,600.00_ - 147,600.00 USD Annual. _The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% bonus._
