Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Coordinator to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a critical role in supporting HR processes, collaborating with team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about human resources and eager to contribute to the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily onboarding operations, including compliance screenings such as background checks, driving records, health clearance, and I-9 verification using E-Verify.
• Ensure all onboarding activities adhere to company policies, accreditation standards, and state and federal regulations.
• Conduct specialized compliance audits, including extended background checks, Child Advocacy clearances, and other nuanced screenings.
• Maintain and update Talent Management systems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and system functionality.
• Develop customized reports and metrics to support departmental needs and provide actionable insights.
• Offer end-user support for HR systems and create necessary production and ad hoc reports.
• Coordinate contingent labor program activities, including tracking and data entry within HR systems.
• Support HR programs and initiatives by delivering key communications, reports, and resources aligned with defined strategies.
• Partner with HR team members to implement and refine onboarding processes and systems. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or onboarding roles.
• Strong knowledge of compliance processes, including background checks and I-9 verification.
• Proficiency in managing audits and specialized screenings such as extended background checks.
• Experience working with Talent Management systems and generating custom reports.
• Familiarity with federal and state HR regulations and accreditation standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in handling contingent labor program administration.
