Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant with expertise in construction accounting and timekeeping systems to join our team in Paramount, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate time and labor tracking for multiple construction projects. This is a long-term contract position, offering an opportunity to contribute to key financial processes within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
• Manage timekeeping processes for multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking of labor hours using specialized software.
• Utilize timekeeping systems to monitor project hours, track labor costs, and produce detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Support project accounting tasks, including job costing, invoicing, and budget analysis, using timekeeping data to maintain financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure timekeeping data aligns with payroll schedules, resolving any discrepancies efficiently.
• Generate regular reports on timekeeping and labor costs for project managers and senior leadership, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline timekeeping processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Verify and validate timesheets to ensure they align with project budgets and timelines.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with industry regulations and internal financial protocols. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in timekeeping software and systems, with the ability to manage complex project data.
• Strong understanding of job costing principles and their application in construction projects.
• Familiarity with payroll coordination processes and resolving timekeeping discrepancies.
• Advanced skills in generating detailed reports and analyzing timekeeping data.
• Knowledge of construction industry practices, including labor cost tracking and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
