Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Staff Accountant for a client on a contract basis in Bellevue, Washington. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who excels in managing journal entries, general ledger tasks, and month-end closings. If you have experience with construction or home building industries and proficiency in Acumatica, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries with precision to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.

• Support month-end closing activities, including reviewing accounts and correcting discrepancies.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including posting journal entries and tracking payments.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve any issues.

• Utilize Acumatica software for accounting processes and reporting.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows.

• Assist in processing financial transactions related to house closings.

• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.

• Extensive experience in accounting, including general ledger and accounts receivable responsibilities.

• Familiarity with Acumatica software is highly advantageous.

• Background in construction or home building industries is a significant plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
