    The Manufacturing Associate in the VLS (Vertical Launch System) department performs a range of mechanical and labor functions in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating various manufacturing equipment such as drills, sanders, and hand power tools, along with test equipment.

     

    + Setup and run various manufacturing equipment, including drills, sanders, hand power tools, and test equipment.

    + Work with paints, adhesives, solvents, and primers.

    + Perform visual quality inspections of parts.

    + Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.

    + Works to a daily schedule to meet/ exceed output targets.

    + Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.

    + Communicate well between departments, to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.

    + Use appropriate PPE for designated area.

    + Other duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications

    + U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.

    + GED or High School Diploma required.

    + Relevant Work Experience: 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.

    + Ability to work independently and within a team.

    + Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.

    + Personal/ Soft skills: Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.

    + Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
