    Responsibilities

    + **Diagnosis and Treatment:** Diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses, from common colds and flu to chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.

    + **Preventive Care:** Providing routine check-ups, immunizations, screening tests, and health-risk assessments.

    + **Chronic Disease Management:** Managing long-term conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and other chronic illnesses.

    + **Referral to Specialists:** Referring patients to specialists when necessary for specialized care.

    + **Health Education and Counseling:** Educating patients about healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and medical treatments.

    + **Coordinating Care:** Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and quality patient care.

    + **Patient Communication:** Communicating effectively with patients and their families to build trust and ensure patient understanding of their care plan.

    + **Documentation:** Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records.

    + **Continuing Medical Education:** Staying up-to-date on medical advancements and best practices to provide the best possible care.

    Qualifications

    + **Medical Degree (MD or DO):** Completion of an accredited medical school program.

    + **Residency Program:** Completion of a residency in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics.

    + **Board Certification:** Certification or eligibility for certification in a primary care specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics).

    + **Medical License:** A valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.
