Purpose and Scope:
The Senior User Experience Researcher & Designer will be fully dedicated to a priority program within the Astellas Rx+ Business Accelerator, DIGITIVATM. The DIGITIVA product is a combination of a hardware medical device, a mobile app, and clinical services that support patients in self-managing their heart failure while also creating the opportunity for earlier intervention by their healthcare provider via the capture of key biomarkers.
The Senior User Experience Researcher & Designer will substantially contribute to the evolution of DIGITIVA with a focus on patient- and provider-facing solutions and services. In this role, the User Experience Researcher & Designer will work closely with the Product lead for DIGITIVA, a cross functional team, and strategic partners to discover opportunities for the program.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
+ Develop a deep understanding of the DIGITIVA product and the needs of its patient and clinician users
+ Conduct user research in the form of user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and other research methods to gather data about user needs, behaviors, and attitudes
+ Analyze qualitative and quantitative data translate insights into design recommendations
+ Create journey maps, user personas, wireframes, user flows, etc. to communicate interaction and design ideas
+ Support exploration of new product ideas via low- and high-fidelity prototype creation and testing
+ Guide design of digital products and services with a cross-function team of internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Required
+ Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, computer science, human-computer interaction, or a related field
+ Minimum 8 years of experience in UX/UI research with demonstrable experience in visual design, user-centric design, systems thinking, UI/UX, and working with user research data
+ Proficiency with technology and software to support development, such as Figma, InVision, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite or similar
+ Experience in Digital Health, Telemedicine, or Medical Devices
+ Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational capacity
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
+ Experience with regulated medical devices and/or software as a medical device (SaMD)
+ Experience in cardiovascular medical devices or digital health solutions
+ Experience with human factors
+ Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth medical technology environment
Salary Range
$125K – $170K (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, based on experience)
