    Responsibilities

    Key Accountabilities: As an Assembly Specialist First Level Manager, you'll play a key leadership role on the shop floor, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in all aspects of assembly operations. You’ll:

     

    + Lead teams in assembling sub-assemblies and structural units using both metallic and nonmetallic materials, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

    + Oversee mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system installations, utilizing a range of fasteners and bonding methods.

    + Ensure product integrity through rigorous testing using mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external customers to meet specifications, drive continuous improvement, and maintain operational excellence.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role

    + Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate with multiple departments (Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.)

    + High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred

    + Demonstrated ability to lead projects on time and within budget, with strong knowledge of project management, cost tracking, and NPI processes

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, with experience navigating enterprise systems

    + Experienced in union environments, including managing collective bargaining agreements, and flexible to work any shift or alternative schedule as needed
