WestRock Lanett Plant has openings for Production Associate. We are located in the Huguley Industrial Park in Lanett. Starting pay $18.21/hour.

The Production Associate will:

\u2022 Remove packed cases from conveyor and place them on pallets

\u2022 Apply labels to pallets

\u2022 Alert operator to carton defects when found

\u2022 Follow all safety rules and procedures and actively participate in the plant safety process

\u2022 Meet the highest level of equipment production uptime

\u2022 Accurately input production data into the system

\u2022 Actively participate in the preventative maintenance program

\u2022 Work with and /or cross train as a Feeder Inspector Packer in Finishing

\u2022 Maintain housekeeping and organization at the area

Requirements for the position:

\u2022 GED/High School diploma required

\u2022 Ability to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manuals

\u2022 Ability to write in order to accomplish such tasks as completing forms or communicating simple instructions

\u2022 Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplications, and division

\u2022 Ability to carry out tasks which require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order - the problems are routine and easy to recognize

\u2022 Ability to make decisions that are short-range and usually affect only a small group or work team

\u2022 Ability to complete tasks as assigned by others with occasional directions

\u2022 Ability to communicate to explain or interpret well-defined business issues or procedures, following established patterns

Working conditions/PPE

\u2022 Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and other safety gear as required

\u2022 Continuous standing and walking

\u2022 Occasional kneeling, crouching, squatting and bending

\u2022 Frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing and grasping

\u2022 Continuous use of vision to distinguish depth perception

\u2022 Ability to work any shift (night or day)

\u2022 Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment (hot or cold)
