Job Overview:

The Security Analyst is responsible for various tasks surrounding the IT security of RWJBH from building alerts generated from our security platforms, to managing the security tools and systems, as well as participating sessions related to troubleshoot issues around the implementation of our security tools with the end user.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ Associate s degree in Cybersecurity.

+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity is required.

+ Key competencies:

+ Adaptability, critical thinking, dependability, initiative, interpersonal skills, learning, listening, problem solving and resilience.

Preferred:

+ Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity desired (1-2 years of experience may be substituted for degree).

Certifications and Licenses Required:

+ CompTIA Security+

+ CompTIA Network+

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Shift working, 9:00 5:00 each day

+ Days to work

+ FT/PD

Essential Functions:

+ Maintaining knowledge of changing technologies, and provides recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies.

+ Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed.

+ Provides management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect customer or corporate security objectives.

+ Prevent, Detect and Remediate security vulnerabilities at all layers of the RWJBarnabas Health Security Portfolio

+ Use and develop tools and techniques to research and identify exploits in backend and embedded systems

+ Familiarity with network authentication practices, network security practices, and cryptography

+ Work with internal engineers and external security auditors to test and secure the RWJBarnabas Health Organization

+ Validate and document existing firewall rules within the organization; ensure auditable documentation that details technical control configurations.

+ implement technical controls inline with MITRE ATT&CK Framework and NIST Cyber Security Framework.

+ Ensure remote access solutions are compliant with the applicable security controls by partnering with various IT groups

+ Configure network control points such as firewalls(software and Hardware), Network Access control systems to meet compliance standards; ensure that network configurations meet the requirements of applicable industry security standards and comply with applicable security policies and controls

+ Must have demonstrated knowledge of IP Networking and Network Security.

+ Must possess the ability to analyze network traffic to reverse-engineer the required data.

+ Must be able to troubleshoot firewall problems involving complex application flows between multiple hosts and spanning firewalled security zones.

+ Must have demonstrated knowledge of desktop, server and other network technologies. Such as DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VPN AND SNMP.

+ Interface with security staff and business clients to evaluate security posture of projects and formulate test plans and engagement timelines

+ Perimeter security / firewall / ips / ids / load balancer / WAFs / ipsec / ssl vpn.

+ Knowledge of forensic / log / tcp dump analysis.

+ Routing and Network layer understanding.

+ System based security for windows and linux. In the event of a suspicious activity should be able to do basic forensic procedure.
