    Become a Senior Specialist, System Performance Objectives and Management within Grid Innovation in System Planning and Engineering at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will be responsible for supporting the development of system wide performance targets related to SCE’s strategic objectives including, but not limited to, Safety, Reliability, Capacity/Readiness, Resilience, and Affordability. You will play a critical role in maturing our benchmarking capabilities to inform metric and long-term roadmap development for each of these strategic objectives. This role also includes corporate goal reporting to our business operations and strategic planning teams within SCE across key system performance indicators. To get the job done, you’ll develop partnerships across the organization and influence others to mature our performance capabilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Gathers, synthesizes and summarizes performance data to support development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that align with the organization's strategic goals.

    + Assist in summarizing and reporting company performance metrics, including financial, operational, and customer metrics - KPIs; provide insights on the impact of changes on performance metrics and help stakeholders adapt to new performance management processes or systems.

    + Assist in the creation of performance reports and dashboards that present key metrics and trends clearly and concisely; share these reports with stakeholders to provide a comprehensive view of the organization's performance and track progress towards goals.

    + Work with stakeholders to help translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and projects; ensure that performance measures are aligned with the organization's strategy and integrated into performance management systems.

    + Support the identification of areas for performance improvement based on data analysis and insights; collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that drive efficiency and productivity.

    + Assist in assessing and monitoring risks that may impact business performance. Help identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure effective risk management.

    + Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including department heads and operational teams; facilitate discussions and presentations to communicate performance results, share insights, and gain buy-in for performance improvement initiatives.

    + Assist in the continuous evaluation and refining of performance management processes and methodologies.

    + Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance the organization's performance management capabilities.

    + Assist in the support of change initiatives by providing insights on the impact of changes on performance metrics; help stakeholders understand and adapt to new performance management processes or systems.

    + A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Five or more years of experience preparing or supporting performance data analysis/reporting.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or other relevant discipline.

    + Strong proficiency with MS tools (PPT, Excel, and Power BI).

    + Exceptional communication skills, with record of converting data to easily consumable decks, dashboards, and written material.

    + Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).

    + Experience with researching and benchmarking industry standards to evaluate operational efficiency, identify performance gaps, and support the development of data-driven objectives.

    + Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

    + Passion for collaborating with teams – both internal and external to solve complex business problems and arrive at solutions.

    Additional Information

    + This position’s work mode is **hybrid.** The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days (2) with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
