DESCRIPTION
About the Position
Lane County is seeking a Recording Supervisor to join the Clerk's Office, a team dedicated to providing critical services that directly impact our community. The County Clerk's Office (https://www.lanecountyor.gov/cms/one.aspx?pageId=4081135) administers local, state, and federal elections, maintains the voter registration database for Lane County electors, is responsible for recording real property documents, issuing marriage licenses and domestic partnerships, and supporting the Property Value Appeals Board.
In this role, you will serve as a face of Lane County and the Clerk's Office, overseeing the delivery of exceptional customer service across phone, online, in-person, and mail interactions. You and your team will be responsible for accurately processing, recording, scanning, indexing, and maintaining a range of critical documents in accordance with Oregon's stringent legal standards. This includes handling real property records, issuing marriage licenses, domestic partnership declarations, and supporting the Property Values Appeals Board. Additionally, you will manage fee collections, perform precise cash handling, ensure all financial transactions are correct, and provide seasonal elections support. Your keen attention to detail will help ensure documents are correctly certified, processed, and archived for public access and permanent recordkeeping.

About the Division
The County Clerk’s office plays a pivotal role in our community’s governance, overseeing essential functions that impact every Lane County resident. Lane County, the fourth most populous county in Oregon, encompasses a diverse landscape extending from the Pacific Ocean to the Cascade Mountains. Our county seat, Eugene, is the state’s second most populous city. Lane County offers a vibrant community for living, working, and recreation, along with an excellent benefits package.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some evening and weekends during peak election season.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
+ Eight years of education and/or experience in elections oversight, government recordkeeping, public administration, or similar, including one years of experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role; or a combination sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Special Requirements:
+ Applicant must pass a criminal history check which may include national or state fingerprint records check.
DRIVER’S LICENSE
Must be in possession of a valid driver's license at time of application, and a valid Oregon Driver's license by time of appointment.

If you enroll in the HDHP the County will contribute to your HSA: $1,500 (individual) or $3,000 (family) annually. This amount is prorated based on date of hire.
