Position Summary

RSI is recruiting for an Intern – Field Technician who willassist Rocky Flats Field Staff with field activities.

**Job Title:** Intern – Field Technician

**Location(s):** Westminster, CO / Rocky Flats, CO

**Status:** Part-Time

**FLSA:** Non-Exempt

**Hiring Range:** $15.36 per hour

This position is required to travel 0% of the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Support Rocky Flats ground water, surface water, Site Ecologist, and Site Operations/Maintenance with their daily functions as necessary.

+ Perform proper documentation/data entry and report writing.

+ Assist with installation of erosion controls repairs, Site inspections and housekeeping.

+ Assist with data collection including water level measurements, groundwater and surface water sampling.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 60 credit hours completed prior to start of internship.

+ B.S./B.A. degree in Environmental, Geology, Hydrology, or related field.

+ 0 years of relevant experience

Licenses and Certifications

+ Valid Driver’s License

Required Skills and Abilities

+ Microsoft office including but not limited to Excel and Word and Power Point

+ Use of Power and hand tools

+ Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and walk on rough, hilly terrain

Clearance and Health Requirements

+ Criminal Background Check

+ Pre-placement Drug Screening

+ Fit for Duty Test (if applicable)

Essential Physical Requirements

Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
