Overview:

The Staffing Coordinator for Nursing Services will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing employees.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain the master nursing schedule.

+ Prepare daily matrix sheets and work diligently to fill.

+ Communicate with Staffing Agencies as needed.

+ Track all attendance of staff and ensure there is coverage and make-up weekends are scheduled.

+ Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action.

+ Works with the Director of Nursing to schedule training classes.

+ Maintain float and mandating list.

+ Follow Union guidelines.

+ Keep within the nursing budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

+ Must be string in Excel and Word)

+ High School diploma or higher

+ Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.

+ Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate

+ Work independently

+ Proficient knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word, a plus

+ Strong communicator

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Should have a good personality & be able to work well with others
