    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. This role involves creating, auditing, and approving functional test plans and burn-in stress testing sequences, validating firmware updates, and designing production line layouts. The position requires travel to factories in Asia and North America, as well as managing production from prototype through various phases.

    Responsibilities

    + Help create, audit, and approve functional test plans and burn-in stress testing sequences.

    + Validate firmware updates in the lab and deliver them to the production floor.

    + Design and improve production line layout and assembly stations.

    + Manage production in the factory from prototype through EVT, DVT, PVT, Ramp, and MP phases.

    + Solve problems with F/A reports and improve diagnostics to maintain a yield rate greater than 98% on high volume production lines.

    + Monitor and enforce test equipment calibration, ESD compliance, and maintenance policies for consumable commodities.

    + Co-develop manufacturing instructions with ODM detailing assembly and test processes from flash programming through testing, labeling, and final packaging.

    + Requires travel to factories in Asia and North America (approximately 25% of the time).

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in factory test and diagnostics development.

    + Knowledge of Motherboard architecture and related subsystems.

    + Linux systems engineering with proficiency in installing RHEL/Ubuntu and compiling custom drivers.

    + Proficiency in Unix Shell (Bash) and Python programming.

    + Experience with stress testing utilities such as stressapp, stress-ng, fio, and memtester.

    + Strong networking background with understanding of TCP/IP stack, Ethernet, and switchgear.

    + Functional understanding of open/short and in-circuit testing.

    + Ability to troubleshoot test hardware.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of SMBIOS, DMI, Ipmitool, bee-mc, UEFI shell, and BIOS settings.

    + Experience programming FRU EEPROMs.

    + Proficiency in using RegExp with tools like sed, awk, grep, and gnu-utils.

    Work Environment

    The role requires travel based on project development schedules, potentially up to 25% of the time. Travel to Asia typically involves a stay of 10-14 days, including weekends, while travel within North America generally ranges from Sunday to Friday/Saturday. Current countries for travel may include Taiwan, Vietnam, and China, subject to change.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $77.15 - $77.15/hr.
