Job Title: Accounting SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to play a crucial role in maintaining accounts receivable processing and reconciliations. This position involves managing collections activity and providing status updates to management, as well as overseeing the accounts payable process, including purchase order to invoice matching, documentation, and reconciliations in adherence to internal controls. As a proactive team member, you will identify and address inefficient processes, contribute to the monthly reporting process with assigned reconciliations, and provide external auditors with necessary information for the annual review. Additional responsibilities include performing other reconciliations and accounting research as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain accounts receivable processing and reconciliations.

+ Manage collections activity and status updates to Management.

+ Oversee accounts payable process including purchase order to invoice matching, documentation, and reconciliations in adherence to internal controls.

+ Identify and address inefficient processes proactively.

+ Contribute to the monthly reporting process with assigned reconciliations.

+ Provide external auditors with necessary information for the annual review.

+ Perform other reconciliations and accounting research as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation.

+ Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.

+ Understanding of accrual-basis accounting policies.

+ Three years of experience in accounting.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including pivot tables and v-lookups in Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associates or College Degree is desired.

+ Experience as a Bookkeeper is ideal.

Work Environment

The position is situated in an office environment with working hours from 8:30am to 5pm. You will be part of a team that includes the VP of Finance and this position. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
