    Job Title: MIG Welder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Welder capable of tacking, welding, and assembling materials for industrial parts according to drawing specifications. The role requires precision and a high level of craftsmanship in delivering quality work.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate safely in all areas, adhering to all safety rules and meeting quality standards.

    + Set up TIG, MIG, and Stick welding machines as per job requirements.

    + Read drawings to determine specific welding requirements.

    + Layout and weld heavy metal according to blueprints from start to finish.

    + Provide meticulous attention to detail and focus on tasks.

    + Support team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

    + Assemble items as instructed by the shop foreman.

    + Prepare products for shipment.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-5 years of welding experience.

    + Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

    + Detail-oriented with a strong focus on task completion.

    + Ability to work safely and adhere to quality standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to follow directions, comply with performance standards, and make corrections when instructed.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

    + Flexibility to work overtime and on-call assignments.

    + Basic literacy for completing job-related paperwork.

    + Forklift operation skills.

    + Proficiency in using measuring tools for accuracy and quality assurance.

    + Knowledge of CAD programming software.

    + Understanding of installation processes for fabricated equipment and parts.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is non-climate controlled with older machines, presenting a dirty setting. Personal Protective Equipment, engineering controls, defined procedures, and specialized training are provided to mitigate hazard exposure risks. The shift is Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with potential for hours on Fridays typically ranging from 4-8 hours.

    This is a Contract position based out of Reidsville, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
