Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - 3rd Shift
Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with company equipment, including production equipment, warehouse bay doors, electrical systems, heating, and cooling systems. They will repair equipment according to established company standards and perform preventative maintenance, such as lubrication of machines and conveyor belt replacement. The engineer must adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures, including OSHA and safety requirements, AIB standards, and Federal/State/Local laws, while wearing all required personal protective equipment. Changeovers on production line equipment must be performed to ensure correct setup according to established standards to minimize downtime during production runs.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
+ Repair equipment according to company standards.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment.
+ Adhere to company policies, standards, and procedures.
+ Perform changeovers on production line equipment.
+ Communicate with co-workers, internal customers, and supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs.
+ Complete preventative maintenance records and required paperwork.
+ Work assigned schedule and exhibit regular attendance.
+ Order parts and maintain parts inventory.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
+ Ability to repair motors and gearboxes.
+ Industrial maintenance experience on production equipment or relevant Associate's/Trade School education.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
+ Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V.
+ Maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor systems.
Work Environment
This position is for the 3rd shift, from 11pm to 7:30am, in a high-speed bottling plant that fills plastic bottles and cans. The facility is climate-controlled, clean, and well-maintained. Employees may be required to work in both the bottling and blow mold facility, which are separated by a parking lot, necessitating walking in various weather conditions. Certain areas of the food-grade facility require wearing hair and beard nets.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
