Job Description
As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for calibrating a diverse range of dimensional gauges and inspection equipment, both in situ and within the laboratory environment. Your role will involve interpreting external calibration certifications to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing, maintaining, and populating calibration procedures, inspection records, and certificates. Adherence to quality management system processes is crucial, and you will utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) on prints to establish gauge inspection criteria.
Primary Job Responsibilities
+ Calibration Tasks: Perform calibration of dimensional gauges and inspection equipment both on-site and in the laboratory.
+ Certification Interpretation: Analyze external calibration certifications for accuracy and completeness.
+ Procedure Development: Create and maintain calibration procedures, inspection records, and calibration certificates.
+ Quality Management: Follow quality management system processes and apply GD&T on prints to determine gauge inspection criteria.
+ Equipment Focus: Work primarily on ovens, furnaces, test equipment, and various tools.
Essential Skills
+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a calibration laboratory or regulated environment such as GMP manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or aerospace industries.
+ Knowledge: Strong understanding of calibration lab principles, statistical methods, and quality control practices.
+ Education: Associate’s degree in applied science or equivalent experience, such as completion of a military metrology/calibration program.
+ Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in calibration, instrumentation, and GD&T.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred Experience: Experience in a high precision manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
+ Standards Familiarity: Knowledge of standards for measuring and testing equipment.
+ Problem-Solving: Systematic problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
+ Technical Skills: Familiarity with metrology procedure writing and Fluke software programming is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $87360.00/yr.
