    Structural MIG Welder

     

    Travelling Position with Per Diem out of Farmington, MN

     

    We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder and Fabricator to join our team. This role involves welding both structural and non-structural pieces using various materials, including aluminum and structural steel. The majority of the work consists of custom MIG welding on aluminum frames for greenhouses. The candidate will also assist in the fabrication process, which includes cutting and prepping metals for shipment and supporting all activities in the shop.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform MIG welding on aluminum and structural steel pieces.

    + Assist in the fabrication process by cutting and prepping metals.

    + Help with the overall operations in the shop.

    + Work both locally and travel Monday through Friday across MN, WI, IA, ND, SD, and NB.

    + Manage work schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.

    + Utilize hand and power tools, including tape measures, drills, and hammers.

    + Work off blueprints and potentially perform welding tasks as needed.

    + Collaborate with crews and subcontractors on commercial projects.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding, particularly with aluminum.

    + Experience with structural welding and wire-feed techniques.

    + Ability to read and work from blueprints and tape measures.

    + Experience in fabrication processes.

Experience a dynamic workplace with opportunities to work on exciting commercial projects. The work environment is a very clean shop equipped with a large exhaust machine in the welding area. The dress code is casual, typically jeans and a t-shirt. The team is a close-knit group, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. This role entails travel around the Midwest mainly, with the option of shop work for a week if travelling for 2 weeks in a row.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
