Overhead Crane Technician / Electrical Technician

Job Description

The Overhead Crane Technician will be responsible for servicing approximately 350 pieces of equipment at the Mine. This role requires commuting to work in a company-provided truck, where daily assignments are given by the site supervisor or branch manager. Technicians will perform preventive maintenance, critical repairs, electrical repairs, and mechanical repairs on-site, utilizing parts prepared in advance. Repairs may vary in duration from 30 minutes to 4 hours, followed by moving to the next project or calling the supervisor for release upon completion. All communication and administrative tasks will be performed using a company-issued iPhone.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventive maintenance and critical repairs on overhead cranes and related equipment.

+ Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.

+ Order and load parts into the company truck for repair tasks.

+ Communicate daily assignments and updates with the site supervisor or branch manager.

+ Complete paperwork and emails using the company-issued iPhone.

+ Travel to repair locations and perform tasks efficiently.

+ Ensure all repairs are completed to company standards.

Essential Skills

+ Strong electrical skills with the ability to be trained in mechanical aspects.

+ Proficiency in welding as a significant advantage.

+ Mechanical aptitude for repairing and troubleshooting mechanical problems.

+ Knowledge of wiring, schematics, and 3-phase systems.

+ Experience as a maintenance technician with preventive maintenance skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Understanding of PLC (Ladder Logic) and VFD (Variable Frequency Drives).

+ Experience with motor controls, both AC and DC.

+ General mechanical ability.

+ Certified welder is a bonus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
