Job Title: Wood Fabrication Shop Helper

Job Description

Join our team as a Wood Fabrication Shop Helper, where you will play a crucial role in constructing structural and architectural pieces for park construction projects. You will be responsible for wood fabrication tasks such as laying out assemblies, sawing parts as needed per drawings, and drilling timber frames.

Responsibilities

+ Perform wood fabrication tasks including laying out assemblies, sawing parts as needed per drawings, and drilling timber frames.

+ Conduct material handling and prepare outgoing shipments for orders.

+ Perform quality checks using measurement tools and blueprints/drawings.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using tape measures, power tools, and hand tools.

+ Experience in woodworking, including laying out assemblies, sawing, and drilling timber frames.

+ Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with shop helper duties.

+ Knowledge of structural and architectural wood fabrication.

Work Environment

Work in a back shop environment that is exposed to the elements, offering a dynamic setting that can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The company serves clients nationally, manufacturing items such as park benches, playground equipment, fitness equipment, slides, and trash cans.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
