    Job Title: Robotic Welding Operator

    Job Description

    The Robotic Welder Set-Up/Operator will be responsible for operating a DX-100 Welding Work Center. This role involves programming, executing various robotic welding set-ups, preparing machines and fixtures, and conducting overall welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.

    Responsibilities

    + Program the DX-100 Welding Work Center with proficiency.

    + Execute various assigned welding techniques, including TIG and MIG.

    + Interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols accurately.

    + Apply knowledge of wire and filler material for different steel alloys and aluminum.

    + Set up fixturing and welding parameters such as amps and volts.

    + Utilize conventional hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

    + Conduct process inspections and certify results while maintaining documentation.

    + Perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment regularly.

    + Supply and maintain personal tools for work operations.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in programming the DX-100 Welding Work Center.

    + Ability to perform TIG and MIG welding on various metals, including aluminum.

    + Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

    + Familiarity with basic handheld measuring instruments.

    + Capability to detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure, and understand sheet metal specifications.

    + Experience with calipers, micrometers, and CNC press brakes.

    + Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area following safety regulations.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
