    Job Title: Quality Control ManagerJob Description

     

    This role involves managing the quality control aspects of a Pentagon project, specifically focusing on repairing the inner stairwell.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones and overall schedule completion dates are met.

    + Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules to ensure upcoming events are communicated, tracked, and proactively attended to.

    + Foster a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.

    + Coordinate the work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly manner consistent with contract documents and industry best-practice standards.

    + Establish and maintain all dimensional controls for the project, including using third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.

    + Verify that all work is installed in a workmanlike manner (e.g., plumb, level, straight).

    + Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions, looking ahead no less than two weeks.

    + Obtain all inspections and ensure quality aspects of physical work are fully documented.

    + Ensure all project aspects are compliant with contract terms and legal requirements governing the project and community.

    + Administer client-specific programs, such as CQC, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship.

    + Conduct or attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.

    + Participate in regularly held meetings involving internal staff and external stakeholders such as owners and subcontractors.

    + Meet with client representatives regularly to discuss project status, proactively identify and resolve problems, and keep the client informed.

    + Manage self-performed activities to ensure work is performed within the established project budget.

    + Manage changes in project scope to ensure the most contemporary contract documents are used to prevent avoidable rework.

    + Assist with acquiring subcontractor proposals to ensure scope of work is met.

    + Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure consistent and proactive compliance with scope, terms, and conditions.

    + Manage the punch list and project closeout process to assure timely completion.

    + Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence.

    + Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as accounting, HR, and ICS.

    + Direct and manage workloads of supporting staff, including training, mentoring, and follow-up.

    + Encourage staff to seek lifelong learning opportunities and professional development.

    Essential Skills

    + General construction experience.

    + Quality Control Certificate.

    + Federal construction experience.

    + Knowledge of C-QCM and quality control processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in interior renovation.

    Work Environment

    The position is part of a Pentagon project, with the first two weeks requiring some overnight shifts due to demolition work. Following this, work will primarily take place during daytime hours.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
