Job Title: R&D Engineering Technician

*Must be comfortable with 25%-30% domestic and international travel*

Job Description

Provide technical and administrative support to the NDE engineering team to facilitate the processing and delivery of inspection tools, analysis of NDE data, and tracking of inspector assignments and progress. Coordinate inspection assignments and track the progress of inspector results. Request quotes from vendors, monitor progress to schedule requirements, and verify requirements are met upon delivery.

Responsibilities

+ Perform technical and inventory activities under the direction of NDE Engineers to support commercial and military engines.

+ Prepare parts for FPI, clean parts post-inspection, package parts, and prepare inspection documentation.

+ Coordinate and track inspection assignments and results.

+ Request quotes from vendors and verify delivery requirements.

+ Provide support in creating a universal inspection method for all aerospace parts.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree with a minimum GPA of 2.8.

+ Strong desire and willingness to travel internationally and domestically 30% or more.

+ Internship or 6 months plus experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.

+ Proficiency in Excel.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with training and auditing NDT systems.

+ Backgroun in establishing NDT and general quality systems and NDT methods.

+ Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.

+ Ability to work independently.

+ Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and customers.

+ Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.

+ Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite.

+ Desire to be an Applications Engineer in NDE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
