Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dewitt, Iowa. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance activity, working closely with the production team to coordinate materials, time, and resources for preventive and corrective maintenance work.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and maintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, PLCs, machining equipment, mechanics, furnaces, and combustion equipment.

+ Coordinate with the production team to plan and execute maintenance activities.

+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

+ Assist the Plant Manager with the development of capital projects, budgets, and finances.

+ Conduct analysis of project requirements and follow up on current jobs.

+ Determine contractor needs based on workload and schedule/monitor all building/property maintenance and repairs.

+ Support the Total Maintenance Program (TPM) and apply lean principles to achieve organizational results.

+ Understand and implement safety job planning requirements, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined spaces, and PPE.

Essential Skills

+ 2-5 years of maintenance work experience.

+ Basic knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, machining, and machining centers.

+ Proficiency in electrical systems, including automation and drives, and welding.

+ Basic mechanical knowledge of PLCs, machining, mechanics, furnaces, combustion equipment, and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

+ Experience in project management.

Work Environment

Work in a cleaner, well-lit shop with a smaller building and a tool crib on-site. Enjoy the structure of 4-10 hour shifts with overtime available on Fridays, all within a smaller team of 50-55 employees across two shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DeWitt, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
