Job Description
As the Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage construction projects to ensure their successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate resources, monitor progress, and resolve issues as they arise. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality construction projects that meet client expectations and contribute to the overall success of the organization's construction projects.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives, budget, and schedule.
+ Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
+ Help manage and mentor a team of Project Managers/Assistant Project Managers.
+ Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
+ Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
+ Communicate regularly with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
+ Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, regulations, and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Review and approve project deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and change orders, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Manage project finances, including tracking expenses, approving invoices, and monitoring project costs to ensure profitability.
+ Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
+ Collaborate with the Program Manager.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
+ Review project schedules and coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and construction teams.
+ Conduct site inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
+ Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to provide updates and address any concerns.
+ Monitor and track project progress, including materials deliveries, labor hours, and equipment usage.
+ Address any issues or conflicts that arise on site, such as scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or safety hazards.
+ Document daily activities, including work performed, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur on site.
+ Attend project meetings and provide input on project planning, scheduling, and execution.
+ Coordinate with project superintendent and foremen to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Essential Skills
+ A minimum of five (5) years of Federal construction management experience.
+ Familiarity with Federal construction processes.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ OSHA 30-hour certification.
+ Active CQM certificate with demonstrable Quality Control Management experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in Primavera P6.
+ Previous experience working at Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base is ideal.
+ Knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards.
+ Mechanical Project Management experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.10 - $67.31/hr.
