    CNC Mill Machinist

     

    Company manufactures LARGE Parts for Caterpillar - Over Head Crane Experience preferred - Horizontal Milling - Set Ups Required

    Job Description

    We are seeking experienced CNC Milling Machinists to operate different CNC milling machines in our shop utilizing FANUC operating systems. You will be operating machines for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical 1st shift hours are 6:00 am-4:30 pm and 2nd shift hours are 4:20 pm-2:50 am Monday - Friday. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times. This position offers a hire-on-bonus!

    Responsibilities

    + Follow written instructions and read and apply blueprint specifications.

    + Perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finishing specifications.

    + Perform simple set-ups of many jobs and may operate more than one machine.

    + Check parts for conformance to specifications.

    + Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

    + Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read and write English.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and experience or equivalent.

    + Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures.

    + Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are critical.

    + Blueprint reading ability.

    + High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

    + Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, with heavier weight necessary at times.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Formal training in CNC machining techniques.

    + Experience with FANUC operating systems.

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
