    The role involves planning, managing, and coordinating engineering design work that requires the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for electrical loads. You will assist Sales in preparing technical proposals and pricing on engineered orders for power systems, and may support Sales in making sales calls and customer contacts. You will interpret customer-supplied specifications, drawings, and one-line diagrams for solution development and cost estimates. Additionally, you will design and develop products that offer the best cost and performance.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage design packages for the Drafting department.

    + Generate test procedures and manuals required with the product.

    + Work with Assembly, Procurement, and field technicians during build, test, or start-up to resolve issues.

    + Coordinate engineering response and action plans.

    + Work as part of a project team to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs.

    + Support the maintenance of documentation via engineering change procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

    + 3+ years of experience in developing and creating new products in the electromechanical products space.

    + Experience with OEM electrical design activities, preferably in power design, generation, distribution, or protection.

    + Experience working with industrial equipment.

    + Knowledge of ERP systems.

    + Experience with power conversion, electrical systems, switchgear, utility, electrical construction, substation, and generators.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in designing in the electrical testing space.

    + Experience designing to UL, CSA, NEC, and other safety agency requirements.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is primarily office-based, currently attached to a manufacturing floor. The team will be relocating to a new office space nearby in the next few months. You will be part of a team with four other engineers, spending 90% of your day at a desk and 10% on the floor.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $63.00/hr.
