Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

The Engineering Technician will support engineers in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) durability analytics. The primary goal is to maintain the integrity of parts in the hottest section of the engine. The role involves technician work, project management, and engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Become a technical expert on inspection practices including photography, digital annotation, magnetoscope inspection, and airflow bench operation.

+ Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and molds; set up benches properly; document values correctly using MS Excel.

+ Work on special projects not covered within the standard scope of work.

+ Order supplies for team members and maintain inventory.

+ Provide oversight and technical expertise to the team, ensuring quality standards are met.

+ Facilitate communication between HSE, MPE, CPR, and outsource vendors using MS Outlook and Teams.

+ Interact with the CPR database and submit work requests to MPE.

+ Update and maintain standard work and drive continuous improvements in inspection practices.

+ Troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MS Excel for data documentation.

+ Troubleshooting skills with mechanical and assembly processes.

+ Experience in the inspection of parts.

+ Associate Degree from a Technical College.

+ 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with SAP is a plus.

+ Soft skills in project management are highly valued.

Work Environment

The role is full-time onsite at the East Hartford campus. The team is dynamic with constantly changing priorities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
