    Job Title: Clinical Sciences Professional (Entry - Senior Level)

    Job Summary:

    Key Responsibilities:

    + May be asked to assist in the preparation of initial and ongoing regulatory submissions to the IRB and the VA Research and Development system under the guidance of the regulatory or research manager.

    + Implement study recruitment and enrollment procedures and train others.

    + Implement current mechanisms identifying potential patients.

    + Complete research documentation, utilizing medical records, lab guidelines, protocol information, and other resources to accurately pre-screen potential participants.

    + Coordinate with the research and clinical teams to schedule subjects for research visits.

    + Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all protocols carried out by the collaborating physicians.

    + Assist in the day-to-day duties required for clinical trial operations including but not limited to, conducting initial recruitment, and completing medical history for research study subjects, and schedules study subjects' clinic visits.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Entry Level:

    + Bachelor's degree in any field.

    + A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

    Intermediate Level:

    + Bachelor's degree in any field.

    + A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

    + One (1) year clinical research or related experience.

    Senior Level:

    + Bachelor's degree in any field.

    + A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

    + Two (2) years clinical research or related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in any field.

    + Three (3) or more years of clinical research or related experience.

    + Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems).

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

    + Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

    + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

    + Outstanding customer service skills.

    + Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

    + Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

    + Highly motivated and driven with the ability to meet deadlines.

    + Excellent record-keeping skills.

    + Ability to work well in a group setting.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training.

    + Excellent computer skills.

    + Knowledge of the research process, e.g., research protocols, surveys.

    + Strong clinical knowledge.

    The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes has an opening for a Clinical Research Coordinator, Dr. Rasouli Research Group. The candidate will be working both at the Anschutz Medical campus. This position will support various multi-site projects under the direction of Dr. Neda Rasouli. Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Manager/ Pl, the primary responsibility of the Professional Research Assistant is to serve as the clinical research coordinator in support of various research activities within Dr. Neda Rasouli's Research Program.This is a position requiring interest in medical research, and the ability to be self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a high-intensity research environment involving multiple NIH and industry-sponsored pharmaceutical research studies.Because we work with live animals, this position requires the ability to work full time in person, with flexible hours, including evenings and weekend when needed.

     

    - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in City, State.
