    Financial Analyst I

    Position Description:

    Performs central accounting and financial analysis functions according to established procedures.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Assist in establishing funds in the university's financial system (Banner) and terminating fund/FOPS for all assigned funds in accordance with department policy and procedure.

    + Process, review, monitor and retain accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and conformance to governing regulation and policy. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all assigned funds.

    + Respond to campus inquiries and address accounting issues to support departments and financial manager in their financial mandagement and fiduciary responsibilities.

    + Perform compliance reviews, edit checks, and other periodic fund maintenace analysis in accordance with department policy and procedures including, but not limited to, orphan transactions and negative fund balances.
