Summary of Position
The Coordinator of Continuing and Community Education Programs supports the planning, coordination, and execution of non-credit educational offerings that serve lifelong learners, youth, and community members. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Workforce Education, Academic Outreach, & Lifelong Learning, the Coordinator assists in implementing programmatic and operational processes for continuing education, community enrichment, College for Kids, and lifelong learning initiatives. The role requires collaboration with faculty, staff, instructors, and external partners to ensure effective scheduling, instructor recruitment, marketing coordination, and community engagement.
Minimum Required Education
Associate’s degree from a nationally, regionally, or state-accredited institution of higher education and four years of full-time wage-earning experience in continuing education, community education, program coordination, customer service, or administrative support
OR
Bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time wage-earning experience in continuing education, community education, program coordination, customer service, or administrative support.
Minimum Required Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Knowledge of continuing education and community enrichment program development and coordination.
+ Strong organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
+ Ability to interact professionally and courteously with the public, faculty, staff, and external partners.
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems used for registration and student tracking.
+ Ability to recruit, hire, and support part-time instructors and aides for youth and adult programming.
+ Skill in responding to and resolving customer service issues effectively.
+ Ability to gather and respond to community input through advisory board facilitation and event participation.
+ Competence in coordinating marketing strategies, including print, digital, and social media promotion.
+ Understanding of student services processes related to course building, registration, materials ordering, and payroll submissions.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including public outreach and promotional content creation.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
Salary 1K/ Pay Category-Per Salaried Pay Scale
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thurs, 7:30-5:30; Fri, 7:30-11:30

+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events and programs.
+ Occasional travel may be necessary to build partnerships and attend conferences.
