    Hourly Rate 19.03

     

    Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - not to exceed 19.5 hours week, Other - May include evening and weekend hours

     

    Summary of Position

     

    To provide instruction to students in Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (TxCHSE), Adult Basic Education ( ABE ), or English as-a-Second Language ( ESL ) class; must fulfill duties and responsibilities as provided by the Director of Adult Education.

     

    Minimum Required Education

     

    Bachelor ’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution is required; teacher certification preferred

     

    Master’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution preferred

     

    Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Adult Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, English, or Mathematics

     

    Minimum Required Experience

     

    Minimum one (1) year teaching experience is required; working with adults desirable

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Ability to teach in an effective and competent manner.

    + Understand the method of teaching by objective.

    + Knowledge of non-traditional student educational needs.

    + Ability to communicate effectively.

    + Ability to teach on virtual and face-to-face platforms.

    + Ability to use MS Office Suite and other digital platforms
