DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Business Analyst 2, you will represent program office interests and act as a content expert in the development and maintenance of information systems. This includes interpreting and conveying state and federal child welfare mandates, policies and objectives to other state staff and contracted vendors involved in the planning and implementation of child welfare information systems. Work involves participating in the review of business processes and gathering documentation related to child welfare and program office operations. In this vital role, communication with OCYF business partners, county children and youth agencies, and other collaborative information system users is key in order to identify and resolve information system issues. You will have the opportunity to assist in the overall evaluation, planning, development, and implementation of office information systems, confer with other agencies to keep abreast of new developments, and review IT systems documentation to ensure the system requirements are met.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
+ One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
+ Five years of business process analysis experience;or
+ One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
