    About the Role:

    A client of TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Budgeting Analyst to support its Budget team in delivering accurate and timely financial planning, reporting, and analysis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and a background in accounting, budgeting, and financial systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist in the preparation of detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and the board of directors.

    + Support the annual IRS Form 990 tax filing and related state filings.

    + Perform system queries, process budget uploads, and contribute to financial software testing and reporting enhancements.

    + Collaborate with Budget Analysts to meet with business units, document financial needs, and analyze forecast-to-actual variances.

    + Maintain and update the chart of accounts and project/activity codes in the accounting system.

    + Develop financial presentations, charts, and graphs using Microsoft PowerPoint; experience with Workiva is a plus.

    + Automate manual processes and support the documentation of operational changes and financial plans.

    + Maintain and organize Excel, Word, and other support files for financial reporting.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

    + 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

    + Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial data flow.

    + Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple approval layers and tight deadlines.

    + High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.

    + Familiarity with IRS Form 990 and corporate tax documentation is a plus.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with Workiva or similar financial reporting tools.

    + Knowledge of financial systems and reporting automation.

    + Strong communication and documentation skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
