Do you have experience with building maintenance and using handheld tools? Join our team! In this role, you’ll assist with maintaining the grounds, interior, exterior, and equipment of county-owned and operated facilities. Apply today and help keep county-owned and operated facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained.
+ Ensure the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building including debris cleaning, maintaining the restrooms, replacing lamps/bulbs, pain touch-ups, etc.
+ Inspect buildings and report all unsafe conditions to the Supervisor, Test AED batteries, and Inspect Fire extinguishers.
+ Inspect custodial Contractors' work, monitor storeroom supplies, and refill.
+ Replace the flag and dispose of it properly.
+ Assist Skilled Trades Workers with projects/repairs.
+ Use of gas-powered pressure washing equipment on building exteriors/hard finishes.
+ Minor building maintenance: level/reset pavers on county property to eliminate trip hazards, concrete patchwork/crack filling, etc.
+ Complete the proper paperwork for the work order management system.
Work Hours:
+ Monday - Friday.
+ 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
+ On-call required.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or its equivalent.
+ One year of experience in applicable trade.
+ Valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Able to use hand tools, cordless power tools, and lawn equipment (hand blower s )
Physical Demands:
+ May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

CJIS Clearance: **The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $17.72 (Step 1) , depending on qualifications
