Position Summary
This position provides primary support for the Salesforce platform, serving as the first point of contact for Level 1 support and leading efforts around solution configuration and platform optimization. This role supports existing Salesforce solutions deployed across the enterprise, assisting multiple business verticals in maintaining and expanding their capabilities within the platform. The software engineer works closely with business stakeholders and the Enterprise Platform IT Manager to enhance user experience and ensure operational efficiency.
In addition to daily administrative tasks, the position involves configuration of new capabilities using declarative tools such as Flows, Process Builder, and Validation Rules. The role also assists in multi-org governance, user access management, and contributes to the monitoring and performance tuning of the platform to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance with internal standards.
This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
+ Leads efforts from end-to-end through delegation, review, and driving results holistically; leads medium complexity features from technical design through completion.
+ Executes a defined software engineering roadmap, contributing to the organization's engineering and technology strategy.
+ Performs coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the development process in projects with moderate to high complexity under limited or no supervision.
+ Identifies and recommends improvements to the software development lifecycle and best practices in agile engineering.
+ Conducts demos of application features and designs features to support automated testability. Conducts research, design and prototyping and experience on a cross-functional team.
+ Works with users to translate designs and solution architecture into design specifications.
+ Organizes the delivery of high-quality, innovative solution or deliverables, setting effort estimates and continuously collaborating and updating the specifications, in line with user requirements.
+ Coordinates and implements new architectures, standards, methods and logic for enterprise software in accordance with business strategies and specifications.
+ Ensures proper documentation of software design and works with business partners to design and implement solution to meet architecture standards.
+ Provide Salesforce support, including triaging user-submitted tickets and escalating when appropriate.
+ Assist in the configuration of new and existing Salesforce solutions using point-and-click tools (e.g., Flows, Process Builder, Assignment Rules).
+ Manage and maintain user roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules to ensure appropriate access controls.
+ Create, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards to support business operations and visibility into key metrics.
+ Document solutions, configurations, and processes in accordance with IT and compliance standards.
+ Conduct routine platform audits, monitor system performance, and recommend improvements.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement enhancements aligned with business goals.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and backlog grooming, contributing to iterative delivery of platform features.
+ Support deployments and testing in sandbox environments and assist with change management processes.
+ Coordinate with external vendors or Salesforce Support for issue resolution when necessary.
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field, required.
+ 5+ years of relevant IT experience required
+ Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) preferred.
+ Additional certifications such as Platform App Builder, Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce Business Analyst are a plus.
+ Experience supporting multi-org Salesforce environments preferred.
+ Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is beneficial but not required.
+ 2+ years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce across Sales, Service, or Experience Clouds.

+ Continuous Improvement - Identifies and leads opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation, both incremental and large-scale
+ Database Management – Knowledge of governance frameworks for data analytics, including data usage policies, data access controls, and oversight of analytical processes.
+ Debugging - The process of finding and resolving bugs within computer programs, software, or systems.
+ DevSecOps - A set of practices that automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle, from initial design through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery, with an aim towards shortening the systems development life cycle and pas well as continuous delivery and a security first approach.
+ General Programming – Applies a computer language to communicate with computers using a set of instructions and to automate the execution of tasks.
+ Log Monitoring – Logging and monitoring are crucial aspects of software development that involve capturing and analyzing information about a software system's behavior, performance, and errors.
