    As the guardian of the company’s brand identity, the Brand Manager will partner with Brand Strategy, Design Lead and Account Manager to ensure the brand’s integrity is upheld in all touchpoints. In addition, they will be instrumental in ensuring the sharing of brand education across the organization.

    Brand Management and Reputation

    + Design, implement and manage the brand governance process for Equitable, Equitable Advisors as well as any co-branding efforts.

    + Lead the editorial application of the brand, overseeing copywriting and proofreading personnel

    + Own the visual brand and, in partnership with Brand Strategy the overall brand platform, and oversee the updating of, and implementation of, brand guidelines across all marketing channels to maintain a cohesive brand image.

    + Review internal and external agency work for both brand design and messaging to ensure accuracy and consistency.

    + Conduct ongoing brand audits to assess the degree of brand consistency and provide necessary education and edits where needed.

    + In partnership with Brand Strategy and legal, review and approve sponsorship activation requests and activation assets as well as contests and sweepstakes requests

    Brand Execution and Administration

    + Understand licensing renewal guidelines, in partnership with legal, oversee trademark filing and tracking and escalate challenges to marketing SLT whenever necessary.

    + In partnership with Brand Strategy, conduct naming conventions for new products and services.

    + Brand oversight and review of stationary assets, conference assets and promo items

    + Oversee key brand channels, including brand mailbox, brand pages on the intranet (Brand Connection) and brand asset site (Brand Hub).

    + In partnership with Brand Strategy and HR, ensure proper brand training is made accessible to all employees, particularly during new hire onboarding.

    + Drive ongoing process improvements within the Brand Management function

     

    The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $134,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field

    + 8 years of experience in brand management

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Deep understanding of brand principles, marketing strategies, campaign execution, creative development and production.

    + Project management skills

    + Ability to think creatively and innovatively

    + Professional judgement and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field

    + Effective communication, both written and verbal

    + Leadership skills to motivate, guide and manage team members

    Skills:

    **Communicating Complex Concepts:** Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.

    **Copywriting and Editing:** Knowledge of copywriting and editing; ability to write, review and edit texts and documents to promote marketing.

    **Graphic Visualization:** Knowledge of visualization tools and techniques; ability to create visual images of ideas, concepts and physical objects to communicate abstract or concrete messages to a target audience.

    **Knowledge of Customers:** Knowledge of various types of customers and ability to analyze customer activities, profiles and information.

    **Marketing Strategy and Positioning:** Knowledge of market research, segmentation, and channels; ability to use business models to develop and implement marketing strategies, objectives, and tactics as well as establishing a communications plan.

    **Marketing Systems:** Knowledge of components and functionality of marketing systems; ability to utilize an organization's marketing information systems in various business circumstances.

    **Project Management:** Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objective
