    Position:

    We’re looking for a passionate Outdoor Line Cook who thrives in the open air and loves creating memorable experiences for guests through food. In this role, you'll be cooking in a dynamic outdoor environment. Some of our locations include BBQ at Shed restaurant, traditional Chuckwagon experience, or one of our many other outdoor dining events. We respect the quality, presentation, and connection to nature are as important as flavor. This is more than just cooking; it’s about bringing people together with great meals by showcasing your craft to create a lasting and memorable dining experience.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and cook meals in an open-air setting, engaging with guests and delivering high-quality dishes that enhance the guests’ outdoor experience

    + Set up and maintain clean, well-organized outdoor cooking stations with all necessary tools and ingredients

    + Deliver consistent food quality and plating, even during high-volume service

    + Interact warmly with guests when appropriate—answer questions, sharing cooking tips, and represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm

    + Embrace outdoor cooking conditions, adjusting smoothly to weather, terrain, and event-specific setups

    + Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation protocols

    + Support team members and contribute to a fun, positive work environment outdoors

    + Set up the station with predetermined mise en place to ensure everything will be ready for service.

    + Cook all food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.

    + Prepare recipes alongside our Culinary team to meet service deadlines.

    + Assist other kitchen team members when needed.

    + Exhibit an understanding of the importance of safe food handling procedures, as well as safety procedures in the kitchen.

    + Demonstrate proper production of food items, working efficiently to achieve maximum productivity.

    Supportive Functions and Responsibilities:

    + Proven experience as a line cook or grill cook, preferably in outdoor or mobile food environments

    + Passion for nature, hospitality, and creating great guest experiences

    + Comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, wind, rain, cold)

    + Strong communication and multitasking skills

    + Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and outdoor event dates

    + Display hospitality and professionalism to our guests and team members at all times, take pride in representing The Resort at Paws Up professionally with our guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal, ethical, and confidential manner.

    + Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Resort team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.

    + Maintain a clean and neat appearance at all times.

    + Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.

    Education, Experience, Licensure Required:

    + High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; Certificate in culinary arts or relevant field

    + Experience as a Cook/Line Cook in a resort or fine dining setting preferred.

    + Knowledge of world class hospitality and service

    + Valid Food Handler’s License

    + Valid State Driver’s License
