Overview
This position is responsible for analyzing energy market rules and validating daily energy settlement data. Tasks will include performing daily/weekly/monthly business processes, independently completing reporting requirements, and leading the development and implementation of new business processes. Additionally, the job entails aggregating and analyzing data, creating supplier invoices and providing variance analysis. The ideal candidate is well-organized and a self-starter with a willingness to learn new things and a drive to improve existing processes.
Responsibilities
_This Energy Settlement position may be hired at the Analyst or Specialist level. Responsibilities noted below reflect those of the Analyst level. Additional/varying responsibilities may be included with the Specialist level role._
+ Conduct energy scheduling activities, including analysis and submission of energy forecasting and back cast files, completing capacity filing requirements, and completing data updates and repairs.
+ Ability to meet Energy Market Submission Deadlines
+ Develop ongoing interfaces with various organizations for process and procedure improvements.
+ Responsible for integrity of load data submissions to ISO (Independent System Operator).
+ Review, identify, analyze and create detailed documentation of business processes and supporting systems.
+ Develop competence in own area by performing structured and/or routine work.
+ Will participate in ISO member committee meetings.
+ Capable of solving complex problems by taking on new perspectives on existing solutions.
+ Will participate in special projects and small teams.
+ May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

Basic Qualifications
Energy Settlement Analyst
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ 2+ years analytical/problem solving experience.
+ Strong data research and problem-solving skills.
+ Capable of leading small teams - fostering teamwork and open discussions among team members with differing backgrounds and driving projects to meet deliverables.
+ Demonstrated skill in MS Suite (Excel, Access and PowerPoint) or other advanced computer applications
Energy Settlement Specialist
+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Economics, Math, Statistics Computer Science or related field OR equivalent work experience.
+ 5+ years with analytics, accounting, or business intelligence
+ Proven experiences aggregating, organizing, analyzing and disseminating data for use in various business functions such as forecasting and business planning.
+ Capable of leading small teams - fostering teamwork and open discussions among team members with differing backgrounds and driving projects to meet deliverables.
+ Demonstrated skill in MS Suite (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
+ Adapt at writing and utilizing queries, report writing and presenting findings.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's Degree.
+ Experience using Meter Data Management Systems or Customer Service Systems.
+ Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as SQL, SAS, MicroStrategy, or Oracle-based systems.
+ Experience using PJM Interconnection systems, such as eSuite applications and GATS.
+ Experience using ISO Interconnection systems, such as PJM Inschedule or ISONE CAMS.
+ Experience using statistics reporting packages such as SAS, SPSS, R and Python.
+ Experience with Linear Programming and Optimization.
+ Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.
