    IPS - Spira Manufacturing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician 1 who will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the production process, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate production of high-quality products.

    Job Accountabilities:

    + Perform station and machine setups as requested.

    + Perform production processes as outlined in written company procedures and/or as instructed by supervisor.

    + Able to operate heavy machinery such as pressers, bending machines, grinding machines, drills, or heavy production equipment.

    + Accurately fill out production work travelers.

    + Follow safety rules as written in Safety Manual and discussed in Safety Meetings.

    + Use manufacturing computer for time and project tracking.

    + Keep workstation clean and tidy. Ensure no tools in assigned toolbox are lost.

    + Perform cleanup daily as requested.

    + Perform other duties as requested.

    Job Specifications:

    Education: HS Diploma/GED Equivalent or a combination of equivalent relevant work experience required

     

    Years Experience: 1+ years of experience in manufacturing/production environment, aerospace preferred

    Skills:

    + Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.

    + Ability to work while wearing a respirator / safety PPE to minimize exposure to some chemicals.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to operate and maintain production machinery and equipment.

    + Ability to read work instructions and blueprints

    + Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

    + Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.

    + Basic math skills

    + Comfortable with heavy labor/machinery

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
