Position Overview

Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Jr. Construction Engineer to support SDA's mission. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

+ Perform project management oversigh for all construction projects at SDA facilities

+ In coordination with the SDA Facilities team, assist with the design, execution, construction oversight, and renovation oversight of projects at SDA facilities.

+ Work with property owners, construction companies, leasing agencies, accreditation owners, and other stakeholders to track project schedules to ensure that construction efforts say on track and meet all requirements.

+ Quickly identify issues and provide possible recommendations that keeps projects on track and on budget.

Required Qualifications

+ Five years of experience and an active TS/SCI is required; #qinetiqclearedjob

+ Regular travel to active construction projects will be required. Adherence to all required Health and Safety requirements while onsite is a must.

+ Experience with leasing documents and processes is required

+ Experience with construction contracts is required.

+ Ability to review and fully understand blueprints.

+ Government procurement process understanding is required.

Preferred Qualifications

+ OSHA knowledge is plus.

+ Experience with Basing Action documents and processes is a plus.

+ Proficiency with CAD software is highly recommended
