Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment

Job Type: Full-Time Direct hire

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Sedona Staffing Services, in partnership with a local hiring Dyersville, IA shop is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. The right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their full benefits package.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment.

+ Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.

+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in large machinery.

+ Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.

+ Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve engine and system malfunctions.

+ Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.

+ Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or degree in diesel mechanics preferred.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

+ Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
